CONSTRUCTION SYSTEM
BAUPANEL is an earthquake-resistant and heat-insulating construction system based on a set of corrugated expanded polystyrene structural panels with a basic reinforcement attached to their faces consisting of high-resistance steel mesh and corrugated bars, linked together by electro-welded steel connectors.
The flexibility of the design and its simplicity in assembly allow the construction of any type of construction, from single-family homes to high-rise buildings, as well as the combination with other traditional and non-traditional construction systems, conceived as an open system.
These panels, placed on site according to the layout of walls, partitions and floors presented in your project, are completed "in situ" by applying concrete through pneumatic propulsion devices. In this way, the panels form the structural elements of the vertical and horizontal enclosure of a building, whose structural function is calculated according to the Structural Concrete Instruction EHE and the rest of the mandatory regulations in force in Spain or in the country where the system is applied.
This system is a wet joint system, since the connection between the different elements that make up the system is continuous. Therefore, there are no horizontal or vertical joints of any kind once the concrete has been sprayed.

Advantages of the Construction System
LIGERO
Los paneles presentan una notable facilidad de desplazamiento, transporte e instalación, gracias a su reducido peso, permite su empleo en cualquier situación. La ligereza de los paneles está de todos modos asociada a una notable rigidez tras ser aplicado el microhormigón estructural. Éste garantizará la integridad y la respuesta al uso para el cual han sido destinados.
El peso por metro cuadrado de los paneles antes de la aplicación del microhormigón o el mortero, es variable según su tipología, desde 3,5 Kg/m2 hasta 5 Kg/m2. Tal ligereza permite que un solo operario pueda mover con total facilidad más de 3 m2 de panel sin ninguna clase de problema.

ECONOMIC

RESISTANT
Numerous laboratory tests carried out in Spain and in various countries around the world have demonstrated the high resistance to the action of loads on BAUPANEL. For normal buildings, since the loads are distributed among many elements, the working stress of the concrete is usually much lower than the maximum admissible for this material.
THERMAL AND ACOUSTIC INSULATION
The value of the total thermal resistance K of a wall composed of a panel made up of 4 cm thick expanded polystyrene with a density of 15 Kg/m3 and two faces with a 3 cm thick projection of microconcrete for a total thickness of 10 cm is equal to 0.78 W/m2 º K. In the case where the wall is made with an 8 cm thick panel of expanded polystyrene (density 15 kg/m3) the thermal transmittance K is equal to 0.49 W/m2 º K. Such levels of thermal insulation greatly exceed the K values of walls normally obtained in traditional systems and translate into energy savings that, as an indication, we can say is close to 40%, both for heating and cooling cycles.
The acoustic insulation of BAUPANEL is one of the best advantages of the construction system.
FIREPROOF:
The expanded polystyrene used to manufacture the panels is Euroclass E. Fire resistance tests carried out on plates constructed with TPR80 panels have demonstrated a resistance of more than > RF 120.
EARTHQUAKE RESISTANT
Laboratory tests carried out on a full-scale two-storey prototype have shown that the structure can withstand loads greater than those of a First Category Earthquake, without suffering any damage. The results obtained from these tests represent scientific confirmation of what nature has already proven; in fact, numerous buildings built using the system have successfully withstood the most severe earthquakes in many countries around the world.
HURRICANE RESISTANT
Constructions built using the BAUPANEL system in areas of high cyclone risk have demonstrated over the years the ability to withstand the passage of the most devastating cyclones, empirically confirming what had already been verified by calculations, namely the high resistance of BAUPANEL constructions to the complex stresses and pressures of the forces emitted by cyclones.
CHOOSING FINISHES
Walls made with BAUPANEL can be finished with any type of finish. It is possible to apply a coating directly on the sprayed microconcrete, or alternatively traditional paints can be used on the grey work or on a smoothed plaster. In short, it is possible to apply any type of coating or finish without any limitations.
